Free Space

Many riders struggle because they don’t give themselves enough free space on the bike.

In this video, we explain why getting too stiff or locked in makes the bike feel unpredictable and harder to control. When there’s no room for movement, bumps, ruts, and mistakes get transferred directly into your body instead of being absorbed by the suspension.

We break down what free space really means, how staying relaxed allows the bike to work underneath you, and why good riders focus on balance, control, and efficient movement rather than tension. Creating free space leads to better traction, improved consistency, and more confidence on the bike.
